Mismanaged Loebner Contest Implodes - October 14, 2008 After spending a month preparing for the Loebner Contest, The Professor and Psimagus had Brother Jerome working perfectly with the contest protocol. Then, just hours before the contest started, the contest management decided to change the protocol, and provided us a buggy interface which sent blank lines and repeatedly crashed, effectively removing us from the contest. The contest management were fine with this, and proceeded to pick another winner. It would be unbelievable, if it weren't the Loebner Contest.A New Open Design - September 1, 2008 I've just completed a redesign that makes the site more open and accessible, both to users and search engines. Much of the underlying code has been updated. I've removed the old frames structure, login requirements, and reduced the number of pop-up windows used while maintaining all the Forge's existing features for botmasters.
